Kyiv. January 29, 2013 official launching of the UNIDO project “Promoting the adaptation and adoption of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production through the establishment and operation of a cleaner production centre in Ukraine” and official opening of the Resource efficient and cleaner production centre took place in the Great Academic Council Hall of the NTU "KPI.
The ceremony was attended by Mykhailo Zgurovsky, the Rector of the NTUU "KPI", Wolf Dietrich HEIM, the Ambassador of the Austrian Republic to Ukraine, Christian Schoenenberger, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine, Guido Beltrani, the Country Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine, Anatoly Kinakh, the President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Peoples’ Deputy of Ukraine, Heinz Leuenberger, the Director of the Environmental Management Branch
On July 29-30, 2013 the seminar "Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Methodology" organized in frame of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Programme on resource efficient and cleaner production (RECP) took placein Kyiv and Vinnytsia at the Resouce Efficiency and Cleaner Production Centre.
During the seminar the trainees learned about the UNIDO programme on RECP andexperience of the RECP project implementation in Ukraine;the participants also actively participated in practical work using modern communication tools.
14 August 2013, Kyiv. Meeting in frame of the Programme "Greening Economies in the Europian Union's Eastern Partnership Countries" (EaP GREEN) took place in the RECPC. The Programme was presented by Rene Van Berkel, Chief of the Cleaner and Sustainable Production Unit at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Mr. Van Berkel explained goals and objectives, countries-recipients, partners, role of the RECPC Ukraine in this Programme, industries for implementation and achieved results of the Programme for econimic growth support ( please, see presentation ).

Experts of the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre participated in the 3rd Global Network Conference on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production.
The event is organised by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on behalf of the Global Network on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP net ), and will be centred around the theme of: ‘ Putting decoupling into action: moving to scale’ .

National consulting workshop aimed at discussion of strategic approaches to “green” economy and strategy of sustainable consumption and production under the program "Greening Economies in the European Union's Eastern Partnership Countries" (EaP GREEN) took place at Scientific and Research Economic Institute in Kyiv.
National workshop organized in Ukraine became one of the first steps made in the direction to "green" economy. The workshop focused on existing initiatives in the country, presentation of a concept and expertise in the area of introduction of “green” economy sustainable consumption and production (SCP) principles, as well as discussion and coordination of the following actions aimed at the development and implementation of activities including preliminary research, economic modeling, all interested parties’ involvement and state policy analysis.
The round table “Prospects for the Development of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) in Ukraine – RECP Legal Framework” was conducted by the Resorce Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre and National Institute of Strategic Studies with support of the Ministry of Economic Develeopment and Trade of Ukraine and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine intheframeworkofthe project “Promoting the Adaptation and Adoption of RECP (Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production) through the establishment and operation of a Cleaner Production Centre (CPC) in Ukraine” financed by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization ((UNIDO ) at the Conference Hall of the National Institute of Strategic Studies (NISS).
Workshop “Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)” took place at Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre on October 21-23, 2013. The workshop was conducted by Dr.Fredy Dinkel and Thomas Kägi, experts from the Swiss Reference Centre.
The workshop was focused on definition of efficiency and quality as the key components for environmental evaluation; the need for application of relevant management tools such as Life Cycle Analysis ensuring achievement of efficient process (system) sustainability.
The workshop participants discussed the following topics:
Institute of Bioenergetic Crops and Sugar Beethosted the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “BIOENERGY: production of bioenergetic crops; production and use of biofuel”.
The conference was attended by scientists and experts from Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Presidium of the National Academy of Agrarian Science (NAAS), Vinnitsa National Agrarian University, scientific institutions at NAAS, National University of Bio Resources and Nature Management of Ukraine, Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production Centre, as well as scientific institutions from Russia, Byelorussia and other countries.
Ihor Shylovich, the Director of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre (RECPC) made presentation “Experience of introduction of methodology of resource efficiency and cleaner production in Ukraine”. On behalf of RECP Centre the presentations were also made by Thomas Kägi, the Project Manager, Carbotech AG, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) Lecturer, University of Applied Science Northwestern Switzerland (presentation “Ecological evaluation of biofuels in Switzerland”) and Dr. Fredy Dinkel, the Director, Carbotech AG, LCA Lecturer, University of Applied Science Northwestern Switzerland (presentation “Ecological biofuels and legislation inSwitzerland”).

Gender communication aspects are important in our modern society which is being developed dynamically and globally. General character of language communication (strategies, stylesі, tonality, etc.) on top of everything else also depends on the communicates ‘social and communicative statuses. One cannot neglect the fact that a single role of communication success depends on gender status of communication process members.
International Conference “Green Resource Efficient Economy: New Challenges And Opportunities For Economic Growth In Ukraine” took place on the21st of November 2013 at the Conference Hall of the Presidium of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine(Kyiv, 55,Volodymyrska Str.).
The event was organized by Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and Scientific and Research Economic Institute (SREI) with support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, German Society for International Cooperation GIZ and pubic organization “Ukrainian-German Forum”.
Luidmyla Musina, the UNIDO and ЕаР Green Coordinator in Ukraine, opened the Conference and greeted the participants on behalf of Anatoliy Maksiuta, the First Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
Seminar for the experts who have completed a training course on introduction of the UNIDO methodology of cleaner production in Ukraine took place at Kyiv Center of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production on the 25th of December, 2013. T.Kniazkova, PhD in Technical Science,National CRECP Expert on water management, made a presentation “Water as a Tool of Cleaner Production Concept”. The presentation focused on information needed for the assessment of water consumption by the companies and measures aimed at increase of the efficiency of industrial water consumption.
