On October 11, 2016, RECP Club seminar «Fund raising for resource efficient measures at SMEs in Kharkiv region» was held in a framework of demonstration component “Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production” (RECP) under programme “Greening Economies in the Eastern Neighbourhood of European Union” (EaP GREEN) with support of Kharkiv Regional State Administration and Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre (RECPC).

The seminar was attended by representatives of small and medium enterprises, NGO, public authorities and expert community of Kharkiv region, which are interested in the investment opportunities for modernization of manufacturing towards efficient resource consumption and energy saving.

The seminar participants had chance to review the existing international and national financing mechanisms for SMEs, get information about projects of international investment and technical assistance (IFC, NEFCO, EBRD, GGF, German-Ukrainian Fund etc.) and links on guidance on relevant topics and COMFAR instrument provided by United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Targeted lending programs on energy-saving and modernization measures from Ukrainian banks: JSB “UKRGASBANK”, PJSC "Ukrsotsbank” and JSC "Ukreximbank" were also presented at the seminar.

Such mechanisms of fund raising for realization of resource efficient measures for SMEs as crowd funding/crowd financing were mentioned during a speech from representatives of known crowd funding platform «Spilnokosht».

The communication in Q&A mode became important for seminar participants, it allowed to gain advanced knowledge in covered topic. From other side it showed the interest of entrepreneurs in such option as permanent consultations on the targeted fund rising options for projects on resource and energy efficient options, directions on implementation of profitable investment decisions.
